Continuing Professional Development Online

Ongoing registration of health professionals in South Africa requires evidence of participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes. 
Annually 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are required of which at least 5 must be on ‘ethics’.

The South African Medical Journal, CME and several specialist journals enable practitioners to acquire 3 CEUs for each individual journal; the South African Journal of Bioethics and Law provides ‘ethics’ CEUs. These programmes are available online only. Participants must be a member of SAMA, MPS, other professional association or a paid subscriber.

Registration (once only required for use of all journals) and participation is via the website www.cpdjournals.co.za
On registration submit all details and on completion an activation link will be emailed to you.
